Hey Fast Eddy!

I don't really know how and where I stumbled across your web page, but,
geez...what a great site.  I've been here quite a while now and will
probably poke around a bit more.  Just love the galleries!

I can kinda relate to your recent purchase of the V-Star cycle.  I too
just bought a new Honda Shadow VLX this past June.  I turned 45 this
past summer and got to thinking about getting a cycle again.  Think my
age might have had something to do with the idea?  I had a small GT250
Suzuki when I was in college about 20 some odd years ago, but just
recently the thought of getting a cycle again has crossed my mind.  I
spent a good part of the late spring and early summer 99 looking for a
good used bike as I didn't want to spend a lot of money.  Maybe on
something that would just be a passing thing for me.  But after looking
around at used bike prices and what I got for it, I decided to stop by
our local Honda shop.  I just knew once I got in there, I would not be
the least bit interested in any kind of used bike.

And naturally, I spied a really nice looking Shadow.  Similar in size as
your V-Star (just love the soft tail look of it).  So after a very brief
talk with a salesman, I didn't even ride the bike,  I just said, "I'll
take it!"  That was in June.  Took me a bit to get it through the
license obstacle course though.  But as the summer has worn on, and I
now (well, not now because it is December) ride it to work almost every
day, I have become very addicted to it and the biker lifestyle.  I've
joined ABATE of Illinois and am meeting some very cool people.  And
hopefully next year will be able to maybe take a trip with it other than
short 100 mile jaunts.  Been on a poker run too.  Major fun.  Anyhow,
most of our local ABATE group are Harley owners.  But you know, it's
really not what your ride so much, it is just the fact that you DO ride!

It's really killing me to put my bike away for the winter.  But I last
rode it Thanksgiving weekend and that was pushing here in northern
Illinois. Just a bit cool.

Well, you can post my pic in your "other" gallery because I just love
looking at pix of folks on their bikes no matter what kind they have.
And just meeting them too.  So I have to give you s big thumbs on your
web page.  It is very impressive.

Thanks for the great web experience.
