I've painted mine Candy viollett with purple flames , lowered it 2" , 
Drags ,shaved the rear license and turn signals,
so you can see that swooping rear fender and mounted a side plate frame . 
Next is the Yamaha studded touring seats and windshield 
and as much chrome pcs.as the wife will allow . 

We are painting the black one a candy blue with graphics this next weekend . 
I will send some clear photos so maybe you can post them
. Right now I have these fuzzy digital camera pics 
and thought you may want to post the one of the stock bike and the frame of the lowered one
beside it to show the difference your lowering technique makes .
 I redrilled the shock mount hole 2 1/4" forward of the original . 
That was the max before the shock hit the frame rail .
